HMD Workshops
Hundreds of events are held to mark HMD all around the UK each year and these are organised by groups and individuals in schools and communities across the nations. Here at HMDT, we don’t say there’s a right or wrong way to mark HMD. You know what your community and audience would appreciate seeing in a HMD event more than anyone else.
We do realise that it can be difficult to know where to begin when planning HMD in your school or community, so each year we offer free workshops for event organisers across the UK. These half day workshops are intended for both first time organisers and those who have held events to mark HMD before. Each workshop offers the chance to hear from members of the HMDT team and learn about the forthcoming theme, how this can be used in your events and the free resources we can provide which will help with your planning. As well as providing an opportunity to learn from other organisers you will also have the chance to hear directly from a survivor, who will share their story with us to assist us in creating a safer, better future.

Please note that HMDT workshops are not suitable for school visits.
