National Event
HMDT organise an event on or around 27 January which acts as a focus for the Nation as we join together to mark HMD. Previous national events have taken place in Manchester (2002), Edinburgh (2003), Belfast (2004), Cardiff (2006), Newcastle (2007), Liverpool (2008) and Coventry (2009) and London (2001, 2005 and 2010).
Hundreds of events take place all over the UK that mark HMD. Anyone can organise a HMD activity for their place of work, within their schools, faith groups, community groups or library – there’s no right or wrong way to do so, as HMD is a day for everyone; and only you know what is appropriate for your audience.
