Contix provides vulnerable people with a safe home and supportive environment, inspiring positive change and encouraging them to live independently in the community. We are based in Sheffield and we work with individuals with a history of homelessness, substance misuse, offending behavior, and physical/mental health issues.
As an organisation, we would like to stand in solidarity with Holocaust Memorial Day Trust to remember those who were murdered for who they were and also, stand together against hatred and prejudice today.
To support this, we will be ordering candles, stickers, badges, posters and leaflets and these will be distributed across our sites.
In addition to that, on 27/01/2025, at 7:30PM, we will be partaking in "Light the Darkness" commemoration across our three sites. Where our residents will be lighting up their candles and placing it safely in their windows. We will also make sure to document the activity in order for it to be shared with the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust afterwards.
The activity will end at 8:30PM.
* Due to the fact that this event will take place in residential sites, we would like to kindly request for the addresses to be kept confidential. Information about this event can be shared on your platforms/websites but we would like the exact addresses to be kept anonymous. It can be publicised as the organisation Contix partaking.
