Coventry City Council organises an annual event for Holocaust Memorial Day. Open to the public and based at the city's Belgrade Theatre. This year's event will take place on the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and Bergen Belsen. The event will focus on the theme of ‘For a Better Future’.
The theatre is open for arrivals from 12:30pm , and we ask the audience is seated by 12:45pm.

The main speaker of the event is Lesley Urbach, from Generation 2 Generation - a Holocaust education charity. She will recall the story of her mother and aunt, who escaped Britain and Argentina in 1938 and 1939.
Students from the University of Warwick and Cardinal Newman Catholic School are invited to discuss the importance of learning about the Holocaust as well as personal experiences of fleeing conflict. Blue Coat school and Coventry Music provide music and song.
