Presented as part of United Nations Holocaust Memorial Day 2025

27th January 2025 is the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Voices From is a creative exploration of conflict and peace through the eyes of children caught in history’s darkest moments. From the Holocaust to the Srebrenica Genocide and current conflicts, Voices From amplifies the voices of young lives often unheard, guiding audiences through moving stories of reflection and responsibility.

As a part of the experience audiences are invited to explore their own roles in creating peace through contributing to an art installation by Ukrainian artist Yuliia Holovatiuk-Ungureanu. Alongside professional actors, community members with lived experiences bridges the distance between past and present, asking us all: how will we unite ‘For A Better Future’.

Voices From was created through a partnership with Keele Institute for Social Inclusion, Professor Bulent Gokay and Dr Lily Hamourtziadou, researchers of the NGO Iraq Body Count, twice nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
