Year 6 received a presentation from Martin Hyman from the Northern Holocaust Education Group about his mother's experience of kindertransport.

Martin shared letters and photographs and family recollections and reflections.

Following on from this Y6 wrote a prayerful poem and made multiple origami peace cranes, writing words to describe their reflections and learning on the wings.

This work is currently displayed in Manchester Cathedral for one week, alongside the work of a school representing 5 other areas of Manchester Diocese.

5 pupils travelled to Manchester Cathedral with their teacher, curate and congregation members from St Paul's Church Withington, to attend the Launch of Manchester Cathedral's Holocaust Memorial School's Exhibition. Martin Hyman also attended the launch and met the Y6 pupils again. Pupils explained their work to those attending the event and met some representatives of the Jewish Community.
