All Y10 students were off timetable for the entire day. During the first hour-long session in the morning, they learned about the historical, geographical and contextual background to the Holocaust.
They then listened to a talk by Eva Clarke and also had an opportunity to ask her questions.

In the afternoon, they took part in a session, learning about Battalion 101.

They then took part in an ethics session, using Simon Wiesenthal's book 'Sunflowers' on forgiveness, justice and human responsibility as a springboard into discussion.

The day ended with 20 minutes of reflection, an opportunity to ask more questions and a brief discussion of films, documentaries and books they might want to turn to in order to find out more about the Holocaust.
