The Boy from Eisenstadt – A Talk by Ernest Simon
Monday, 23 January, 2017 - 18:30 to 19:30

Ernest experienced the growing persecution of the Jews and remembers watching a bonfire of prayer books and Torah scrolls from his bedroom window on Kristallnacht. He was just eight when, at midnight on January 11th 1939, he was put on a train at the Wiener Westbahnhof. His parents had no idea whether they would ever see him again.

Today he shares his story with schools and by giving talks to the public, so that the memory of those days are never forgotten.
