In January 2013, we have a new programme of film screenings and survivor talks taking place across England in partnership with Picturehouse Education.

Aimed at students aged 11 – 18 studying a relevant subject, each session will feature a survivor talk and footage of documentaries and dramas relating to the Holocaust. Teachers attending with their students will find this an invaluable experience with opportunities for students to gain a personal insight into the Holocaust, and the impact and legacy of this and subsequent genocides.

This is also an excellent way to be a part of HMD 2013 or to brief students on this subject in the lead up to your HMD commemoration. Each event will last for approximately two hours, and will include opportunities to ask questions and inspire further learning. The dates for each screening are below:

• Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 6NL: Monday 14 January
• The Phoenix, Oxford, OX2 6AE: Tuesday 15 January
• Picturehouse at FACT, Liverpool, L1 4DQ: Wednesday 16 January
