Advice for Libraries (2010)

The following resources are from 2010 and may still be of use to your event, however the most recent resources in this category will be the most relevant.

Each year, hundreds of Libraries in the UK take part in Holocaust Memorial Day. As with all HMD events, there’s no right or wrong way to mark HMD, your event needs to fit the needs of your community, your members and your budget and available time.

Those organising events in Libraries will benefit from reading the HMD event advice and our Library Factsheet

You may also be interested in our Book Group Activities for Young People and Adults.

We’ve tried to make it as easy as possible for Libraries to participate in HMD. Order our free Campaign Pack and you will receive our free display materials, we’ve also recommended a number of books which Libraries may have in their collections to display on or around HMD. You’ll find these in our Library Bibliography

If you do use HMD materials in your library, please make sure you let us know via our event finder as this is the foremost way that individuals can find out what is taking place in their community for HMD.

If you would like any further information on marking HMD in your Library, please contact the HMDT Team who are always happy to hear from you. Call us on 0845 838 1883 or send us an email
