This presentation allows you to display our six Moving Portraits, which began as part of our arts programme for Holocaust Memorial Day 2015 and is continuing for HMD 2016. We commissioned the artist Will Head to take photographs of genocide survivors holding an object that is significant to them, but then what makes these images so unique is that an element of them is moving, such as a flickering candle or a plane flying overhead, helping to bring the portraits to life.

Download the slideshow here, and you can use our activity that goes with the presentation to explore the stories behind the images, the significance of memory and provoke further discussion
