New Education Resources
We are delighted to announce the launch of our new education resources to help schools, community groups and individuals mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2026 in meaningful and accessible ways.
All resources are available to download free of charge from our website, supporting anyone planning an event or activity to bring their community together in remembrance of those murdered simply because of who they were.
A key addition this year is a new Holocaust Memorial Day film called ‘It Began with Words’ for students aged 14+ (Year 9 and up), exploring how the Holocaust began, its effects and impact on the wider world today. The film also includes interviews with Holocaust survivors Peter Lantos BEM and Joan Salter MBE as well as Cambodian genocide survivor, Sokphal Din BEM.
We also continue to expand our powerful collection of survivor life stories. This year, we are honoured to have interviewed survivors Peter Lantos BEM, Mala Tribich MBE, Eva Clarke BEM and Li-Da Kruger. Their life stories, along with many others, can be found on our website.
Designed for use in classrooms and assemblies, the new resources are also accompanied by guidance and activity ideas for teachers, helping to spark discussion and support for students.
You can also access a wide range of materials tailored for different settings, from lesson plans on antisemitism and discrimination to easy-read versions of survivor stories, as well as primary and secondary school assemblies. Educators can easily filter resources by school type to find materials most relevant to their learners.
In addition to educational tools, physical and digital resources are also available to support local Holocaust Memorial Day events. commemorative candles, stickers, About HMDT flyers and pin badges can be ordered to create a visible connection to Holocaust Memorial Day. Order resources.
We hope these new resources help you to mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2026 in a way that is thoughtful, inclusive and inspiring. Thank you, as always, for your continued commitment to remembrance and for helping to ensure that the lessons of the past are never forgotten.
