The event will commemorate the Holocaust and subsequent genocides, with a strong focus on intergenerational engagement. Reflecting Coventry as one of the UK’s youngest cities, the programme will actively involve young people alongside survivors, community representatives, and artists, ensuring that remembrance, learning, and responsibility are passed from past to present and future generations. We will have a powerful presentation by the Generations 2 Generations speaker Jeannete Marx.

In recognition of Coventry’s diverse communities, the programme will also respectfully include commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, with survivors invited to participate and share lived experiences, supporting meaningful intergenerational dialogue.
