The theme of this year’s Holocaust Memorial Day is ‘Bridging Generations.’ A reminder that that the responsibility of remembrance doesn't end with the survivors - it lives on through their children, their grandchildren and through all of us.

Ella Conway will be sharing the story of her grandfather Dr George Garai, who was born in Hungary and survived the Mauthausen and Gunskirchen Concentration Camps. Ella uses George’s words from his autobiography and clips of interviews with his sister for the presentation.

This has been organised with the help of Generation 2 Generation: a Holocaust Education Charity that was established to empower second and third generation Holocaust survivor descendants to present their family histories to a wide variety of audiences.
