HAVANT BOROUGH COUNCIL HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL COMMEMORATION 2026

Havant Borough Council are holding a short non-denominational service of commemoration at the Public Service Plaza, Civic Centre Road, Havant at 11.00am on Tuesday 27th January 2026.

The service will focus on the theme ‘Bridging Generations” and will be led by Honorary Alderman Ms Leah Turner.

Following the service, we are holding a reception, where we are honoured to have speaking at our 2026 Holocaust Memorial commemorations, Mr Bryan Huberman.

Bryan Huberman is a 2nd Generation speaker from the 45 Aid Society, who are a charity formed after the Holocaust by The Windermere Children, who were welcomed into our country after escaping from the horrors of the Holocaust in Europe.

He will be telling the life story of his late father Alfred Huberman. This is a both moving and informative account of life before during and after the Holocaust.
