As per previous years in Brighton & Hove, Latest TV is co-hosting this event with Brighton & Hove City Council at Hove Town Hall.
It is a multi-media event comprising speakers (MPs, Council Leader, multi-faith leaders, Police CI and others) film screening (films prepared especially for this occasion and to this year's theme), survivor testimonies, arts in the form of live music, singing, dancing, artworks (projected onto large screen). All of the works are curated for maximum impact, much of the music is composed by Bill Smith from The Life & Death Orchestra
This year, artist Leslie Nicholl has painted specific works for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz inspired by the music of The Life & Death Orchestra
Schools are invited to attend and also to perform at the event based on the theme set by HMD Trust.
The activity will be filmed on 24th January 2025 and streamed at thelatest.co.uk on week commencing 27th January 2025 and made available to all schools in the area.
