This event will tell the story of Ernst and Gertrud Neustadt, a German Jewish couple who fled to England in late 1939, and who are buried in the graveyard of St Helen's church in Wakefield. The talk will be given by Charlie Knight, who explored Ernst and Gertrud's life as part of his MA studies. The talk will be at St Helen's church on the 28th of January, starting at 2pm. Following Charlie's talk, there will be an opportunity to visit the grave of Ernst and Gertrud, and an opportunity for discussion and questions with refreshments. The event will finish by 4pm.
