We are marking the 80 yrs since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau & the 30 yrs since the genocide of Bosnia by holding two one hour ceremonies in Wigan & Leigh Town Hall. We will be sharing our 80 Candleholder as well as our Memorial for Bosnia. As we created the first ever GREEN Memorial Garden in conjunction with HMDT & RHS we will also display this garden in miniature sharing the FLOWER STONES & their meanings which we officially opened in October, 2024. The pupils at St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic High School in Wigan have created the Candleholder for the 80 year Anniversary in conjunction with Lisa Michelle, Director of Heart Communities.
In addition we have been working very closely with the Northern Holocaust Education Group who have kindly organised for Sam Nuemann, son of "Bobby" to share his Mother`s story at the Commemoration. Her Survivor story will take us through her life in Hungary & how she was transported to Auschwitz Concentration Camp in an overcrowded cattle truck. Unlike other family m
