GoodVibes is YMCA Swansea's LGBTQ+ youth group that meets in Person at YMCA Swansea every Tuesday 6-8pm. This HMD we will be paying respect by creating and lighting candles and in on honor of those LGBTQ persons who were persecuted and those who survived and went on to protest the treatment of this group of individuals, we will be holding our own 'Sip In' to mark the following protests that took place in New York. Young people will learn about the political climate of the time and how a groups of activists publicly called out the mistreatment of people and how this led to social and legal change. This will culminate in young people blending their own (non-alcoholic) drinks to celebrate their unique individuality and positive protest banners.
