Wales comes together online to mark HMD 2022
The Wales Commemorative Ceremony for Holocaust Memorial Day 2022 was pre-recorded at City Hall, Cardiff, and watched by households across Wales.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, Wales once again made a pre-recorded ‘virtual’ ceremony for Holocaust Memorial Day 2022. The multi-faith commemoration was organised by The Welsh Government and Cardiff Council, and recorded at City Hall, Cardiff.
First Minister Mark Drakeford, and Cllr Huw Thomas, Leader of Cardiff Council hosted the Ceremony and it was led by The Reverend Canon Stewart Lisk. Our Chief Executive, Olivia Marks-Woldman OBE, spoke at the commemoration, and audiences heard powerful testimony from Eva Clarke BEM, survivor of the Holocaust.
