The commemoration was introduced by The Reverent Canon Steward Lisk, with a welcome from our Trustee, Paul Giannasi. It featured music from Cardiff County and Vale of Glamorgan Youth Choir and contributions from Holocaust Educational Trust ambassadors.
Attendees heard powerful testimony from John Hajdu MBE, a survivor of the Holocaust, and Isam Agieb, who survived the genocide in Darfur. The Rt. Hon. Mark Drakeford MS, First Minister of Wales, read Belsen Silence by Iolo Lewis.
A candle was lit in memory of all those murdered during genocide, followed by a minute’s silence.
