80th Anniversary of the Nuremberg Trials

We were delighted to welcome distinguished legal professionals to a private fundraising event, marking the 80th anniversary of the Nuremberg Trials.

80th Anniversary of the Nuremberg Trials

The commemorative evening took place at The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in London, bringing together HMDT friends and supporters, legal professionals and senior members of the judiciary.

The event was a powerful testament to the enduring importance of justice, remembrance and the rule of law, and we were honoured to be joined by a distinguished panel of speakers:

  • Sir William Shawcross CVO, sharing insights from his father, Lord Hartley Shawcross, the British Prosecutor at the Nuremberg Trials.
  • Lady Rose of Colmworth DBE PC, Supreme Court Justice and daughter of refugees from Nazi Germany, providing a familial and legal viewpoint.
  • Rob Rinder MBE.  Rob is a celebrity media and television personality, criminal barrister and grandson of a Holocaust Survivor will chair the panel.

The panel were also joined by HMDT speakers – Chair, Sir Sajid Javid; Chief Executive, Olivia Marks-Woldman OBE; and Trustee, Julian Blake.

The special evening raised vital funds to support our work, ensuring that the lessons of the Holocaust continue to be learned by future generations.  Thank you to everyone who joined us and to Clifford Chance for their continued commitment and support.

There are many ways you can support our work.  Find out more.
