On Friday 12th December, Year 6 will have a special visitor — Alison Cooper from the Northern Holocaust Education Group.

Alison will be sharing the remarkable and moving story of her mother, Judis Singer, who was born during the Second World War. Judis was transferred to Terezin concentration camp, from which she was later liberated. After the war, she came to the UK as one of the Windermere Children (often referred to as the “Windermere Boys”), a group of young survivors who were brought to the Lake District to begin rebuilding their lives.
