Father’s House has been promoting Holocaust Education for over twenty five years.
During that time we have held our exhibition in various locations across Wales at Libraries and Schools. For several years, we held the exhibition at Liverpool Town Hall and Liverpool Cathedral.
Local Politicians have become regular speakers and we have welcomed schools from across the region. We have had Lord Carlisle participate and educators from Yad Vashem, Holocaust Memorial in Jerusalem have joined us to teach and share their expertise.
Year after year, we have found family members, neighbours, friends, and members of the local community joining us in remembrance.
Every year since holding the exhibition at Father’s House, Mr Richard Thornhill, a teacher at Queensferry CP School since 2009 and who holds a degree in History, has brought his class to view the exhibition. This year, with the emphasis being on the Importance of Holocaust Education, we felt it was only right for Mr Thornhill to be our guest speaker.
