The Service took place on 27th January 2026 at 11am - 12.30pm, organisations involved were the Folkestone Town Council as organisers, local secondary schools were invited and reps from 4 local schools attended and each spoke about a specific subject related to this year's theme, also a piece of music was composed especially for the service by a student of the local Grammar School which was played during the service. Also in attendance were other local dignitaries, veterans, Councillors and members of the public and Jewish community. The service was conducted by the Mayor's Chaplain and concluded with the placing of stones. After the service food that had been prepared at the local college was served to attendees, the food was from countries that have been affected by genocide.
